Software as a Service (SaaS)

Function as a Service (FaaS)

FaaS (Function as a Service) or Function as a Service, is a Cloud Computing service through which you can run individual functions of an application. That is, without creating and managing an entire server. In other words, you can perform maintenance and changes on a part of your blog, for example, without changing it all.


  • Automatic scaling: FaaS providers are responsible for managing the infrastructure needed to run cloud functions. This means that if a role needs more resources, the provider will automatically allocate more virtual machines to meet the demand.
  • Pay only for the use: unlike the traditional website hosting model, where the consumer is obliged to pay a fixed amount per month regardless of the use, with FaaS you only pay for the execution time of your function. This makes service costs scalable for enterprise use.
